{"id":266,"date":"2021-10-21T01:21:24","date_gmt":"2021-10-21T01:21:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stwendelinschurch.org\/?page_id=266"},"modified":"2026-10-01T19:15:06","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T19:15:06","slug":"saint-annes-christian-women-meeting-minutes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/stwendelinschurch.org\/index.php\/saint-annes-christian-women-meeting-minutes\/","title":{"rendered":"Christian Women Meeting Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry\">\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>Minutes From St Anne&#8217;s Christian Women&#8217;s Meeting &#8211; 09\/15\/2026<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">St. Anne&#8217;s Christian Women met on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at St Mary&#8217;s Help of Christian following Mass.\u00a0 SMHOC president called the joint meeting to order followed by a prayer and comments from Father Erik.\u00a0 Fourteen members of St. Wendelin&#8217;s Christian Women were present.\u00a0 Father stated that the two groups must join and should choose a new name for the newly formed group.\u00a0 Members requested a time line for the merging and it was decided to join in February, with some preliminary work being done by officers of each group. The groups then separated to have their own agenda meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>President Karen DesAutels called the business meeting to order.\u00a0 Following an opening prayer and the pledge of allegiance, the president asked if any of the published meeting minutes required any corrections .\u00a0 As there were no corrections made, the motion to except the minutes was made and seconded; also read was the Treasurer&#8217;s report with balances reported.\u00a0 Motion was made to approve the Treasurer&#8217;s report, motion was seconded and passed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>President Karen called for nominations for our offices of treasurer, secretary, vice president and president.\u00a0 Nominated for treasurer and re-elected was Stacy Watrin; for secretary was Marla Honer; vice president Lisa Lichte; president Kathy Watrin. Following each of these nominations, each candidate accepted the nomination after which motion was made and approved to accept their candidacy.\u00a0 Newly elected officers were officially installed into their offices with a candle ceremony and a gift of flowers. Newly elected president Kathy Watrin took over the agenda.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>President Kathy handed out information sheets to update member contact information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>President Kathy requested ideas for future speakers and agenda items.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Karen DesAutels brought forward a request from St. Wendelin&#8217;s School for help to purchase bibles for the students.\u00a0 Motion was made and approved to donate up to $250.00.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Request for money for a new vacuum for Church was tabled until October meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>October Rosary: St Anne&#8217;s Christian Women are responsible to lead the rosary in the month of October .\u00a0 Lisa Lichte will put a sign-up sheet for leading the rosary before October&#8217;s Sunday Masses in the back of church.\u00a0 All were encouraged to sign up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Annual Fundraiser Breakfast: Scheduled for November 22, 2026.\u00a0 It was decided to move forward with the breakfast.\u00a0 President Kathy will look into advertising.\u00a0 We will ask members from SMHOC to join us.\u00a0 Details will be finalized at the October meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remembrance Mass: Tabled until October Meeting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>40 Days of Life: Char Volkmuth reminded everyone that the 40 Days of Life starts September 23 and runs until November 1st.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">St Wendelin&#8217;s St. Anne&#8217;s Christian women rejoined SMHOC Christian women for the joint meeting to resume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A motion was made to set up a committee to revamp the bylaws of each group to form one set of by-laws. The Committee will consist of Ellen Zipp (SMHOC), Tracy Yarke (SMHOC), Karen DesAutels (St. Wendelin), Stacy Watrin (St. Wendelin) and Presidents Rebecca Peterson (SMHOC) and Kathy Watrin (St. Wendelin).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Election of officers for the newly formed joint group will be held in February.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SMHOC was invited to join in leading the rosary at St. Wendelin&#8217;s October Masses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SMHOC was invited to join at St. Wendelin&#8217;s St. Anne&#8217;s November breakfast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SMHOC invited St. Wendelin&#8217;s to join their craft and bake sale on December 16, 2026. Requested was two dozen cookies, candies, or bars.\u00a0 Crafts were also requested.\u00a0 Drop off on December 15, 2026 and help assemble platters for the bake sale.\u00a0 Motion was made to donate leftover crafts from St. Wendelin&#8217;s Christian Women&#8217;s breakfast to SMHOC Christian women&#8217;s bake and craft sale.
